Nice bar environment on my experience. Great service. The food was prepared well.
This was my first experience here, but likely won't return. My friend likes to rotate her drinks, order one non alcoholic that looks like an alcoholic drink such as club soda and lime, then have a regular vodka soda and so on. Well, the bartender shouts out each order which makes it difficult to conceal the fact one wants to not get as wasted as her friends but still fit in and look like she's drinking. There's no discreet place to come up to order at the bar except in between sweaty older guys. On top of that, the bartender decided how much she was going to drink, not her. On her second order, he poured her about a cup of vodka into what was supposed to be a single drink. He does not measure his shots out. It seems incredibly dangerous to not know how much alcohol one is putting into one's body. All I can say is that in a tall glass I must have seen him pour about four to five inches tall of straight vodka, then soda, then cranberry as requested, and the lime wedge. He said it was to 'make up for' the non alcoholic drink. She was disgusted at how strong it was and I helped her finish it. A bartender has no right to make a girl's drink stronger because he feels she isn't drinking enough. Not to mention most bartenders LIKE tips, and not only were we completely turned off by then but it severely cut down the quantity of drinks that may have been ordered. Finally she ordered a lemon drop and he made it with vodka, lemon, a barely sugared rim- along with Sprite and triple sec?? Since when does Sprite and triple sec come in a lemon drop shot? Not to mention it must have been about a triple. His reasoning for making it so large? 'You'll feel it in the morning.' Gross. Maybe we don't WANT to feel it in the morning? Ever heard of someone wanting to moderate their drinks so they don't drive home impaired? Not to mention it took another 20 minutes of standing at the bar to cash out. Not to mention this was after one fight that broke out, and before a second fight that broke out. The second fight was so bad they knocked over some of the DJ's equipment and he said it was the first time in ten years he had to shut down because of someone breaking his equipment. He used more colorful language than I've paraphrased. So if you want a place that over-pours so many of their drinks that not one, but two, fights break out in a single evening, go here. If you want to stay safe, go somewhere else. I wish our friends had just decided to grab some bottles and have a quiet party at one of our houses. The bartenders knew people were driving drunk too. They had to have known. No way that many people were drinking that long and ALL took Uber's home. I'm just glad I left before any more fights happened or worse, someone pull a weapon. I was genuinely scared for my safety at several points in the evening.
Great service and delicious burger and quick eats. We were in a hurry and they got us in and out quick. Convenient to Grand Park.
