My husband and I call this, "our place," but I guess we can share. The food is REALLY good, but it's made better by the friendliness of the staff and the coziness of the location. We always feel so welcome, greeted by name by the owner, Adam. If there's a line, don't worry -- it moves fast and it's worth waiting for. Ever the carnivore, I favor the 1/2 lb of meat on a plate, then I steal the 2 rolls from my husband and make my own little sliders. I am partial to the pork and brisket, but everything I've had has been wonderful.
Took my dad to Big Hoffas for lunch and had a sample of ribs, pulled pork, and sausage. We, also tried the Mac n cheese and beans as sides. Everything was delicious. No complaints at all! I’ve sampled many good BBQ spots around the city but this place is the best in my option. Excellent BBQ and again, great job!
Dined here on a Saturday evening around 7:30, place was pretty packed. The girl taking the orders was extremely friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. The food came out pretty quick.
Definitely coming here more often!
Got the 1/2lb beef on a plate combo with Mac and cheese and potato salad. The beef (shredded brisket) was incredible! Best BBQ I have had in a while! The mac and cheese was good, not great; potato salad was pretty good.
All in all a 3.5 for our first visit, though we will def be back.
This is my first experience to this place. And wasn't disappointed at all! Food was excellent and fresh. I know sometimes this place can be busy. But I didn't have a problem. Got right up to the register and ordered, took a seat, and it wasn't two minutes our order was done. While I sat and ate I observed the line get long three times, and the crew here had no trouble getting through the line. Good team. Prices I felt were reasonable for the quality of food, and quantity you get. Lot of options.
UPDATE: Have eaten here a few times since and although the service is top of the line, the food is just average (though my wife still loves the ter. chicken).
Pulled pork was pretty good, though I didn't care for the bread. Ordered baked beans and coleslaw and both were pretty good, especially the coleslaw. Wife had the smoked teriyaki chicken w/ rice and absolutely loved it. Mac and cheese was average. The only thing we didn't care for at all was the brisket, pretty dry and not much flavor. The BBQ sauces were just OK.
