The man's name was Sean (or Shawn?) and he gave it a thorough inspection. Was very clear and honest the entire time. Explained what was going on (in this case, I had the temp turned up too high and it was using the pressure release valve which looked like a leak), and told me that based on everything he could see, we were still a few years out from needing a new heater. He turned the temp down a bit and charged me so little for the visit that I felt guilty.
I have used Isley Plumbing for several years. My most recent experience was as good as those in the past. Scheduling and appointment confirmation online is very efficient. They followed up to let me know exactly when they would arrive. The work was done quickly and the service person was very pleasant. Overall another good experience. Thanks, Isley!
Very organized experience. Liked getting the emailed and text confirmations and updates as well as direct contact from the service tech. On time and the successful resolution was worth the charge. I will definitely use this company again if the need arises.
Had an inspection of my water heater done by another group, let's call them BF, who barely took a look at it before telling my wife that we needed a new heater at a cost of around $2k. Wouldn't even explain why we needed it. Did a little looking around and found that other plumbers were charging only around $1.2k for the same deal. Finally got suspicious of the original need of the new heater so called LE Isley & Sons to come look (based on other good reviews), and it was a totally different experience.
Jake was punctual, professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. He was very up front about the work that needed to be done and did not attempt to up- sell us. He did exactly what he said he would do and got it done quickly. Our entire experience with Isley Plumbing was 100% positive. I would recommend this company to anyone and will call them first the next time I need a plumber.
ORIGINAL: My experience was disappointing. I have a water softener that I wanted looked at. The brand I have is not one that Isley sells but was told that they’d be happy to look at it. I was told that the service fee was $25. The plumber couldn’t tell what the problem was. To be fair, he put a good effort in, but he wasn’t familiar with this brand of softener and was unable to diagnose the problem. I was charged $65 for the diagnostic attempt that provided no information whatsoever. I was glad to pay the $25 (which was waived) to cover the trip, but I found the larger $65 charge distasteful.
EDIT: Mr. Isley reached out to me directly expressing regret for my experience and the lack of clarity up front regarding the pricing. He stated that he would refund the full charge - this was a very nice gesture even when I was content to pay the $25 service charge. Definitely willing to give them another shot with future plumbing needs.
Overall, he treated us with respect, integrity, honesty, and displayed a high degree of expertise and professionalism. Will definitely be calling them again the next time I'm in need. 5/5
